Your guide to Ashram.com
What
is an Ashram?
An ashram is defined by many as a religious or a spiritual retreat. Usually,
an ashram is a retreat for spiritual growth, peace, tranquility and meditation.
The word ashram derives from the Sanskrit word 'asrama'.
How
can Ashram.com help me?
Ashram.com contains information about ashrams, spas and health resorts
around the world. While we are trying to compile the world's largest "data
warehouse" of holistic retreats we are also dependant on the community
to improve our database of resorts constantly. Ashram.com allows you to
"slice and dice" data about retreats whichever way you like.
You can simply browse by city,
country or
enter your custom criteria
to narrow your search.
In the near future, ashrams for spiritual quests will be clearly marked
and diffrentiated from the more commercial spas. Ashram.com will carry
both commercial and non-commercial resorts and ashrams in its database.
Please read our Disclaimer. While it is physically impossible to visit
and review each resort and spa, we are in a process of rating as many
resorts as possible.
What
about spiritual journeys and ashrams in India?
Ashram.com contains an ever-growing database of information about retreats
around the world. We have a tertiary office in India to carry out
our extensive ongoing research about the ashrams and holistic retreats
in Asia. We will have spiritual journeys and other packages included in
this extensive list of ours in the near future. For further information
and to contribute please email info@ashram.com.
Can
I find reading material and/or products related to my interests?
There is a selection of chosen products from all over the world at the
Ashram.com Store.
We are working with our partner site Healthmap.com
to only include a narrow list of select products deemed suitable for Ashram.com
visitors. One can browse for products by categories most of which are related to a spiritual and meditative lifestyle.
